Christmas Eve is more important to us than to most of the British people, because in Germany they celebrating the evening more instead of the following day. I tried to get some British traditions into our house by opening the presents on Christmas Day instead of Christmas Eve, but Tobias was disappointed about that (he just can’t wait – like always!). So we made a compromise: The presents we got from Germany were opened that evening. The others we got from our British friends (or international – thanks Maja!) had to wait until the next morning! It was so easy to make my DH happy!
