ScrapFactor Week 9 – Strolling along the Beach

Good Morning Ladies! ScrapFactor Week 10 is live but first of all I show you my layout from last week with the theme “Use your most innovative techniques to create unique texture” – well, that was a challenge, right?!

Lucky me, I received issue two of Mollie Makes that week and I had all those lush blue felt in that little goodie-bag! Perfect for some waves on my layout!

So lots of texture on my page created with felt, tissue paper (behind the waves), XXL ric rac, tiny beads, bead embellishments (the rolled ones), more lace, wave-punching and Hawaiian look-a-like flowers! Oh, and a chipboard (with embossing powder AND acrylic paint for even more texture).

The Journaling says:
The beach was packed with sunseekers and courageous people bathing and splashing in the still chilly sea. And the seagulls? They were strolling along the beach as if there weren’t anybody near them!

And a really big thank you to all my voters – I’m still in the game! It’s getting really hard now, only six are left this week!

In this week’s challenge you were not allowed to use patterned paper! Very unusual for most of the scrappers, right? But I managed it and here we go for my sneak peek:

So, if you want to vote for your favourite layout on UKS – the gallery is HERE (you have to be a member of UKS to vote)!

Have a great week with the longest day in the year tomorrow!

  1. Hi Daphne,

I have to say it again. Your layouts are so fabulous. You have such a great talent to play with (extreme) COLOUR!!!

    Have a great week, Bianca

    LG, Maja
