Onwards and Upwards – Blog Hop with Jennifer

onwards and upwards announcement

What an amazing Friday, don’t you think?! Not only ONE blog post this morning – here is the next on! I am very happy (again!) to be part of Jennifer’s Blog Hop to start off her amazing weekend with giveaways, tutorials and challenges! You even can win a great prize! But more of this later😉

You should have reached me via Fay today and if you got lost, there is a full list of all participants at the end of this post.

For Jennifer’s Blog-Hop I created a layout with a huge picture of Old Wardour Castle. This castle, built in the 14th century and was partially destroyed during the Civil War. New Wardour Castle was then built in the 18th century, but the ruins were left as an ornamental feature. Sometimes we have to leave loved items behind – everybody has to move on, right?!

And now the happy part: If you comment on all the blogs in the hop, finishing at www.jennifergracecreates.com to let Jennifer know you’ve been all the way around, then you’ll be in with a chance to win a prize pack of cheerful Glitz Designs Color Me Happy and Simple Stories 24/7, worth over £25 (see below)! All entries must be received by Monday the 13th of May at 10.59pm BST. Your next stop along the hop is the lovely Abi!

  1. This is gr8 cos I only went there myself last weekend. I loved the place. I really smiled when I saw you use the orange chevron as I took a picture of a brick design inside the castle which was exactly that, just to show how chevrons are obviously never out of fashion. As always I love your beautiful layout and the framing is perfect,

  2. that is a great page as always I love following your blog and looking at all your bright and beautiful pages especially the ones of Dorset though not sure where Wardour Castle is so will have to go and google it!

    • Thanks! Glad you like my work! Wardour Castle is not far from my place, but as it is English Heritage I never looked for it! I am more familiar with Nationa Trust sites!

  3. Wow great layout. I’ve never made a layout with such a large photo but would love to try it so maybe I’ll cheekily pinch your ideas😉

    • Thanks Sarah! I love to use photo enlargements! Every now and then I print my favourite photos on a bigger scale – it makes such a difference! Would love to see your big-photo layout! x

  4. Amazing page Daphne! I have a layout with a big photo coming up in the morning, but it’s very different! That castle looks fantastic, I’ve not been there and now I must go and check it out. I love how your title is tilted and layered with squares at the top!

Thanks so much for joining in with my Onwards and Upwards Blog Event! x

  5. I just saw your work on Shimelle’s blog. It is fantastic. I am so glad I discovered you! I will be visiting your blog often..
