The Seagull Attack

Happy Friday! The first week of the heatwave is over (and we are still having summery weather) – yay for that! We are still spending lots of time outside in our garden but not as much as in the beginning. The hot weather is not going to go away for a while now so we can spend some time inside the house without having a bad conscious.

It was different though about three weeks ago. Exactly three weeks ago. It was our last day of  our holiday in Cornwall and we had another sunny day in St Ives (we only had two sunny days during that week). We bought a very yummy Cornish pasty and sat down by the beach in the harbour to eat it… when suddenly – yes – a seagull came flying over my left shoulder and nicked the tip of the pasty! It wasn’t like I had offered it freely; we already were aware of the cheeky birds, witnessed several attacks on other pasties, ice creams, lunch packs… so I held the bag close to my body and was about to take a bite, when it happened. In the first moment we were paralysed. Did that really just happened to us? Yes, it did. And here is the evidence:

Endlich Freitag!

LOL
