River Stour | Weekend Adventure | Dear Lizzy “Neapolitan” by American Crafts

Weekend Adventures Logo

Monday again – did you have a lovely weekend? Nice weather where you are? The temperatures here are pretty good, the sun’s out, and the evenings are mild and light. Midsummer is coming soon and then all is going to be reversed!

On Saturday we spent a great day walking along Poole Beach. We started at Branksome Chine and headed towards Sandbanks along all those really posh villas and hotels. Just before the ferry landing spot we turned around and walked back along the beach. I even took off my shoes and got my feet wet and sandy!

Starred Photos

Back to my layout now and to a time when it was much cooler than on Saturday.

River Stour - dapfniedesign - title

Mr Evans and I on our favourite dog walk around Throop Mill along the River Stour. The photo on the layout was taken back in January, and five months later the river looks totally different: It is green on its banks and even in the middle a lot of reed is growing. Around these islands perfect spots are created where ducks, moor hens, herons, egrets and seagulls have good opportunities to feed – like this black-headed gull, diving for some fish:

For my layout I used four sheets of the 6×6 paper pad from the Dear Lizzy “Neapolitan” collection by American Crafts. They are more or less arranged on a layered pile and I added some paper scraps and stickers from the same collection.

I also found some wooden flowers and washi tape to add on. The banner I also used had been cut out a while ago (but I haven’t used it – until now), so I just had to add some foam pads on the back and Glossy Accents on top.

  1. Ich liebe diese Papierserie und habe sie kürzlich erst selbst wieder für ein paar Schokiverpackungen benutzt. Dein Layout ist großartig und die Fotos sind so herrlich!

    GLG Ines♥
